Robert W. Alexander “Bobby”, 66, of New Albany, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at his home. Legacy Funeral Center has been entrusted with his care.

Visitation for Bobby will be from 1 PM – 3 PM with a Celebration of Life beginning at 3 PM on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at Legacy Funeral Center, 912 Main St., Jeffersonville, IN. He will be laid to rest at New Albany National Cemetery at a later date.

Bobby was born on January 3, 1954 to the late Chester and Mary Taylor Alexander. He was a graduate of New Albany High School where he was a star football player. Bobby was named a High School All American and Kentuckiana All-Star in 1972. Following graduation, he served honorably in the United States Army. In his free time, Bobby could be found fishing or taking long bike rides around town.

Bobby was known as a Legend to all. He was always there for his family and his neighbors. Being a jack of all trades, he was always willing to use his skills to help those in need, and all Bobby asked for was for a smile. Though he was outspoken, you knew Bobby loved you, especially if he cussed you out.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by Donald Southers; his siblings, Stephanie Wood, Kaye Forte, and Sharon Alexander; and brother-in-law, Ronald Webster, Sr.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Angeline Ingram and Hali Alexander and their mother, Donna Alexander; grandchildren, Isaiah Alexander, Olivia Brittle, Alijah Alexander, and Alayah Alexander; siblings, Connie Webster, Chuck Alexander (LaShawn), and Mike Alexander (Mona); friend, Susan Stoy; and a host of extended family members and friends.
